ANSYS CFD for Turbulent Aerodynamics Flows
In this course you will learn about the CFD of external aerodynamics. In this course first we will create geometry of airfoil in ICEMCFD and then we will create high quality hexa mesh. After that we will solve this case in Fluent.
You will run case at angle of attack zero and angle of attack 10 and compare results with NASA data for Cp, lift coefficient and drag coefficient.
In future we will introduce more complex problems. Hope to see you soon on course.

WS2 : Fully turbulent CFD analysis of NACA0012 Airfoil
The purpose of this lecture is to :
1. Export the Cp plot on airfoil from fluent.
2. Read in excel and reverse the y axis so that negative values should be on upper side and positive values on down side as usually we see in the literature.
3. Reason for doing so is that " negative Cp values are on upper side of airfoil and positive values are on lower side of airfoil". So in order to Cp plot in same way we need to reverse the Cp plot in excel.
4. In next lecture we will compare this (CFD) Cp plot with the Cp plot from NASA data.
